Terms of Service — Yanik Online Card Game
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the Yanik Online Card Game mobile application (the "App" or "Game") developed and provided by krersn Studio (the "Service Provider", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you represent that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.
1. Definitions
- App / Game: the mobile game software published as "Yanik Online Card Game", offering the Yanik and Yunan variants of Turkish Okey online.
- User / You: any natural person who downloads, installs, or uses the App.
- Account: the anonymous or Google-linked user identity created to access online features.
- Virtual Chips: in-game counter units with no real monetary value that cannot be refunded for, or converted into, real money or any other asset.
- In-App Purchase: acquiring a virtual chip package with real money through Google Play.
- Gift / Chip Transfer: a user sending virtual chips to another user within the game.
- User Content: any content you create or send, including your display name, avatar, chat, and private messages.
- Online Services: account, friend system, chat/messaging, gifts, online tables, matchmaking, cloud save, leaderboards, and all related features.
2. Age Restriction and Eligibility
🔞 18 and Over Only: This App is designed only for individuals aged 18 and over. The App contains simulated gambling mechanics (virtual chips, betting, per system) and real-money purchases. If you are under 18, you must not download or use this App.
By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old, that you have the legal capacity to accept these Terms, and that using the App is not prohibited under the laws of your country.
3. Account and Authentication
For online features, the App creates an anonymous account via Firebase Authentication; you may optionally sign in with your Google account.
- You are responsible for the security of your account and sign-in credentials.
- All activity through your account (including messages, gifts, and purchases) is deemed to be yours.
- You may not transfer, sell, or rent an account to anyone else.
- If you notice suspicious activity, you must notify the Service Provider immediately.
4. Virtual Chips — Important Notice
💰 Virtual Chips Have No Real Monetary Value:
- Virtual chips cannot be converted into real money, refunded for cash, or cashed out.
- Virtual chips are used only within the App to play and track progress.
- Virtual chips do not create any property or legal right; you are granted a limited, personal license to use them.
- You may send chips to other players within the App (via gifts); however, this does not give chips any real value or permit you to sell/exchange them outside the App.
The Service Provider reserves the right to adjust, delete, reset, or suspend your virtual chips, in whole or in part, at any time for a legitimate reason (including technical issues, cheating, fraud, account breach, or termination of the App). No compensation is paid for the loss of non-purchased virtual chips.
5. In-App Purchases and Refunds
The App contains in-app purchases that allow you to buy virtual chip packages with real money. All payments are processed through Google Play Billing.
- Purchases and payment details are handled by Google; the Service Provider does not see or store your card/payment information.
- Purchased virtual chips are consumable digital content and are deemed delivered as soon as they are added to your account.
- Prices are shown on the purchase screen at the amounts in effect at the time of purchase and may include taxes.
- Refunds are primarily subject to the Google Play refund policy. If chips you purchased were not credited due to a technical error, contact troyunci@gmail.com.
- Right of withdrawal for EU consumers: when you request immediate delivery of digital content with your express consent and acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal, the 14-day withdrawal right ends once delivery begins. This clause does not affect your mandatory consumer protection rights.
6. Gifting and Chip Transfer
The App offers a feature to gift virtual chips between players. When using it:
- You may gift only up to your available balance; a sent gift cannot be reversed (except where fraud is detected).
- Gifted chips also have no real monetary value and cannot be cashed out.
- Selling, trading, or "real-money trading" (RMT) of virtual chips for real money or value is strictly prohibited.
- The Service Provider reserves the right to reverse, block, or suspend transfers and related accounts involved in fraud, chip laundering, or cheating.
7. Online Service and Availability
An active internet connection is required for the App's online features, which run on cloud infrastructure (Google Firebase).
- The Service Provider does not guarantee that Online Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.
- Features may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, infrastructure failures, or third-party outages.
- The Service Provider is not liable for game losses caused by disconnection, matchmaking delays, or server issues.
8. Chat, Messaging, and User Content
The App offers chat and private messaging between players. You are solely responsible for all User Content you send. The following content is strictly prohibited:
- Harassment, threats, bullying, hate speech, or discrimination
- Sexual, obscene, or illegal content
- Spam, advertising, fraud, phishing, or malicious links
- Sharing others' personal data without permission
- Impersonating another person or entity
- Offering to buy or sell virtual chips for real money
The Service Provider reserves the right to review, remove, or hide any User Content without prior notice and to warn, suspend, or close accounts that violate the rules. By using these features, you grant the Service Provider the technical license necessary to transmit and display your messages to the relevant recipients. 9. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or modifying the App
- Attempting to bypass the App's security mechanisms or server-side validation
- Using automated tools (bots, scripts, modified clients)
- Using cheats or exploits that artificially inflate virtual chip gains; abusing software bugs
- Collusion at online tables, multi-accounting, or chip laundering
- Sending harassing, threatening, or hateful messages to other users
- Using the App for advertising, spam, or unauthorized commercial purposes
- Attempting to sell/market virtual chips for money or value outside the App
- Copying, distributing, or reselling the App or its content without the Service Provider's written permission
In case of a violation, the Service Provider reserves the right to suspend or close your account without prior notice, delete/adjust your virtual chips, and initiate necessary legal action.
10. Intellectual Property Rights
The App and its content (code, graphics, sounds, interface design, the "Yanik" name, logo, character names, and all other materials) are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights to these assets belong to krersn Studio.
The basic rules of Turkish Okey are traditional public domain; however, the original implementation, software code, visual design, online systems, and game experience in this App belong to the Service Provider.
These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App for personal and non-commercial purposes.
11. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each subject to its own terms of use:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Realtime Database): firebase.google.com/terms
- Google Play Billing: play.google.com/about/play-terms
- Google Play Services: policies.google.com/terms
- Google AdMob (if used): support.google.com/admob
- Google Play Games Services: developers.google.com/games/services/terms
Some App features may be affected if these services are interrupted, malfunction, or change their terms. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible for such situations.
12. Disclaimer of Warranty
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE". To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider makes no warranty, express or implied. Without limitation, no warranty is given that the App will run uninterrupted, error-free, or securely; that it is fit for a particular purpose; that all errors will be corrected; that it will run smoothly on every device, OS version, or network condition; or that your data (including game progress) will not be lost.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider shall not be liable for any direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages (including loss of profit, loss of data, loss of virtual chips, business interruption, etc.).
The Service Provider's total liability to you shall in no event exceed the amount you have paid directly to the Service Provider for the App in the last 12 months.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service Provider against any claims, demands, lawsuits, damages, costs, and attorney's fees brought against the Service Provider as a result of your violation of these Terms or applicable law while using the App.
15. Modification and Termination of Service
The Service Provider reserves the right to modify, suspend, or permanently terminate the App or any of its features without prior notice, to block access for users who violate these Terms, and to make the App temporarily inaccessible for technical or legal reasons.
If your account is closed due to a violation of these Terms, no compensation is paid for balances tied to the account, including non-purchased virtual chips. You may also end your use at any time by deleting your account or removing the App. Sections 4, 10, 12, 13, and 14 survive termination.
16. Changes to the Terms
The Service Provider reserves the right to update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes are announced within the App or at krersnstudio.com. The "Last updated" date at the top is revised with each revision. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The Istanbul (Çağlayan) Courts and Enforcement Offices have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of the App.
For consumers residing in the European Union: this clause does not affect your rights under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire and complete agreement between you and the Service Provider regarding your use of the App.
